For all of you who woke up this morning thinking, "What else can I do with my baking sheet?" This tutorial is for you!
Materials:
1 Old baking sheet
Spray paint
pretty scrapbook paper
Mod Podge
Scrap material for handles (I used an old bandanna)
First I spray painted the outer part of the pan. Don't worry about the middle because it'll be covered.
Then I cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the size of the pan. I had to piece together two sheets.
Next I glued the paper down with Mod Podge ... and realized I had huge air bubbles... whoops!
So, I had to add another sheet to cover them up. After that I put a couple coats of Podge down on top of the paper to seal it.
I liked it, but thought it needed something to cover the holes on the side. So I cut a couple of strips off an old bandanna like so...
knotted them in the middle...
and strung them through the holes and tied a bow.
And wha-lah! A serving tray from a baking sheet!
Don't entertain much? Hang it on the wall and use it as a magnetic message board!
Oh, the possibilities! So don't fret, there is life after baking for your pans!
Ciao,
Lucia

I love this idea! It turned out so cute! Last weekend, the hubby was trying to get rid of some old pans cluttering up our kitchen, but I told him nope! Glad I did! I would like to try this. I will of course link back to you if I post it. Thanks!

This is adorable. I have been planning on using a baking sheet to put in our car, for my daughter to play with magnets. I was going to print out princesses and such on magnetic paper things, and I wasn't sure how I would cover it. This looks like a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing.

I'm wondering if little glass cabinet knobs would have fit in the side holes. What do you think?
Hi guys, thanks for the sweet comments! I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner; I actually didn't know how to do it...duh! I'm glad you all like it though!
Adge - I love the idea of making it into a toy tray for the car! I bet you're daughter will love it!
Anita - Glass knobs would looks so super cute; what a great improvement! I'm not sure that they would fit on their own, but it would be easy to just make the holes a little bigger.
If anyone up-cycles their own baking sheet, post a link, I'd love to see them!
